About Bani

Bani Singh Chadha is a Vedic astrologer and teacher of Jyotish who has been guiding students full-time for the past seven years through online courses, workshops, and talks attended by seekers across the world. She approaches Jyotish as a living spiritual tradition—rooted in mantra, sadhana, and the timeless wisdom of the rishis—seeing it not merely as prediction, but as a sacred path of self-understanding and inner alignment.

She began her formal studies in Jyotish in 2009 at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, earning her the degree of a Jyotish Acharya, and later continued advanced studies under Shri S. Ganesh, whose teachings emerge from the traditional lineage of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham. She is currently studying in the sacred parampara of Shri Achyutananda Das, under the guidance of Pandit Sanjay Rath and Sarbani Rath. This lineage traces back to Shri Achyutananda Das, a 16th-century Odia saint-poet of the Panchasakha tradition closely tied to Jagannath Puri, and has been carried forward through generations of the Rath family as a living oral tradition.

Before dedicating herself fully to Jyotish, Bani spent 13 years in broadcast journalism with NDTV. She began in production, going on to produce the channel’s flagship show, We the People with Barkha Dutt, before moving on-air as a news anchor and broadcaster. She is an alumnus of Welham Girls’ School, Lady Shri Ram College, and Cardiff University, bringing together intellectual depth, lived experience, and devotional grounding to her teaching.
